Jessica Yang

Position: President
Course: 14, 15
Contact: yangjj@mit.edu
About me:
Hey I’m Jessica, and I love being your Class President! Here are a few things about me: I’m super optimistic; I train with MIT Sport Taekwondo; I’ve been a sox and pats fan since I was a kid; I’ve become obsessed with Max Brenner’s; and I love being your class president!

As your third year class president, I don’t take no for an answer when it comes to advocating for 2015s – look out for fantastic junior year events by your class council team! I’m also a member of the Undergraduate Association Executive Board and Institute Committee on Student Life, so I’ll make sure to keep you updated and represent all our concerns. Ping me anytime. Here’s to a wonderful junior year. Cheers ^_^

Joanne Zhou

Position: Vice President
Residence: Kappa Alpha Theta
Contact: zhoujy@mit.edu
About me:

Hey there! I’m Joanne, the class VP. I love running, traveling, drinking coffee, and meeting new people. This is my third year on class council, and I’ve loved getting to know everyone through classes, socials, and events.

With more than half of MIT already behind us, let’s cherish these next two years and bond as a class before we graduate and take over the world. So stop by the events, say hi, and tell us what you want us to plan! Let’s make junior year awesome, together.

Emily Yau

Position: Secretary
Residence: Simmons
Contact: emilyyau@mit.edu
About me:

Hi I’m Emily, your new secretary!  I enjoy eating, sleeping, and the occasional matchmaking in my dorm, Simmons.  I try to go off campus at least once a week to explore Boston, and often end up dragging my friends with me.  I’m majoring in Course 10 and hope to go into the energy industry after graduating.  I blog a little bit in my free time, which you can check out at emilyyau.mit.edu.

Lina Kim

Position: Treaurer
Course: 24 & 9
Contact: klkim@mit.edu
About me:

Hello! It’s good to meet you. I’m looking forward to serving you and our campus as your new treasurer! If I’m not in class, I’m probably 1) locked in a piano practice room, 2) holding 5.112 office hours, 3) on a field trip with my InterVarsity family, 4) throwing birthday surprises for friends, or 5) sleeping. Sadly I don’t get enough of #5, so if you see me exhausted on campus — say hello!

Laura Forte

Position: Social Chair
Course: 10
Contact: leforte@mit.edu
About me:

Hey, I’m Laura, and I’m your Social Chair! Aside from helping plan awesome events for our class, I study course 10, edit for The Tech, and occasionally go overboard and bake a million cookies. I also love sailing recreationally, practicing synchronized swimming, travelling, and eating brunch. I’m really excited about making our junior year spectacular, so if you have any ideas for events or just want to chat, let me know!

About me:

A Short Interview with Connie Huang

Do you design the Class Council posters? Yes.

Do you design the other posters on campus that look like the Class Council posters? Yes.

Do you do anything other than make posters?

Sometimes I sit alone in my room and eat Cheetos while listening to soft jazz.
