Class of 2015 Council

Hey Class of 2015!

Hope you guys had a great week! With the formal behind us and the dorm-ice cream sundae rounds almost completed, you might be wondering – what’s next? Good question…

1. Ice cream at Senior Haus this Sunday night! Come to the lobby for some awesome Tosci’s ice cream! After Senior Haus we will have concluded our rounds (unfortunately not all dorms were able to accommodate this event), but by popular demand we’ll swing by Maseeh next weekend (the 11th)!

2. Movie Screening of Avengers at Loews Boston Commons! So you might have noticed on your list of 101 things to do before graduation is to see a movie screening by class council! It’ll be on the night of May 3rd at Loews, where we’ve reserved a theater just for the class of 2015. Look out for signups within the month!

3. Massive classwide Assassins game! We’ve been making arrangements with some MIT student developers, who are providing us special access to their new Assassins smartphone app. We’ll be running a giant game with up to 1,200 people, and everyone will get to participate (online or through the smartphone app). Rules, explanations, and logistics coming soon!

4. ???  What would you like to see? Should we rent out a restaurant? Distribute snacks in lobby 10? Host more free food studybreaks? Have a nostalgic-childhood-stuff fair? Email me your ideas or bring them to nice cream Sunday night!

This is your chance to get fancy and get down!  Come dance the night away in the stunning Media Lab Skylounge with your fellow 2015ers. Compete in a dance-off to determine who will be crowned King and Queen of the Snowflake Ball.  Get your picture taken to commemorate the night; portrait photographs will be available for the first hour of the dance. End the night in an unforgettable way when we unveil the grand finale!

Tickets are only $3!

Featuring the beats of DJ Bass.
Appetizers and desserts will be served.
Formal attire recommended.

*Freshmen may bring dates who are upperclassmen or students from other schools. Students from outside of MIT must bring their ID to the dance and be registered on the guest list during ticket sales.

Hey 2015s!

Due to popular demand, we will be doing another order of sweatshirts!  If you would still like to purchase a class of 2015 sweatshirt, the deadline for placing your order is Thursday, January 19th. Please fill out the online form to place your order. Each sweatshirt will be $25 and you may pay in either cash or TechCASH. The sweatshirts will arrive at the beginning of second semester.

Congratulations to the nine committee members: Nikki Neibloom, Kathy Lin, Tobi Amos, Jenny Sul, Lillian McKinley, Colette Abah, Janelle Mansfield, Anji Ren, Defne Gurel, and Deborah Ajilo!

They will be working very hard over IAP to put this event together.
